More Privacy
Install 1″ slats with small, consistent gaps to reduce visibility through the panel and create a refined, closely spaced pattern.
The 1″ Aluminum Slat is a compact, versatile infill profile for modern aluminum fences, pedestrian gates, sliding gates, privacy screens, and custom architectural panels. Its narrow 1-inch face makes it especially useful when a project needs precise control over spacing, privacy, airflow, and visibility.
Use the 1″ slat by itself for a clean, consistent pattern, or combine it with Alumission 2.5″ and 5.5″ aluminum slats to create a custom design. Small, evenly spaced gaps provide greater privacy, while wider openings—such as a 4-inch gap—create a lighter, more open, see-through appearance.
The slat can be installed horizontally or vertically with Alumission posts and compatible gate-frame profiles. This flexibility allows the same profile to be used for full-privacy layouts, semi-private fences, decorative accent patterns, and open contemporary designs.
Extruded from 6063-T6 aluminum and protected by a durable powder-coated finish, the profile is lightweight, corrosion resistant, non-combustible, and easy to maintain. It can be cut to the required project length using suitable aluminum-cutting equipment.
The narrow profile gives homeowners, contractors, and designers more control over the finished pattern. Adjust the slat combination, direction, and gap size to create the right balance of privacy and openness.
Install 1″ slats with small, consistent gaps to reduce visibility through the panel and create a refined, closely spaced pattern.
Combine 1″ slats with Alumission 2.5″ or 5.5″ slats to create a modern mixed-width design with controlled openings.
Use wider spacing—such as a 4″ gap—to increase visibility, airflow, and light while maintaining a clean architectural rhythm.
Orient the slats horizontally or vertically with Alumission posts and compatible gate frames to match the fence, gate, or screen design.

It is a hollow, powder-coated 6063-T6 aluminum extrusion used as infill in Alumission fence, gate, privacy-screen, and architectural panel systems. Its compact 1-inch face allows precise control over spacing and pattern design.
Common applications include horizontal and vertical fences, pedestrian gates, sliding gates, privacy panels, decorative screens, replacement slats, and custom aluminum fabrication.
Yes. It can be installed horizontally between compatible Alumission posts or inside a compatible gate frame.
Yes. It can be installed vertically when the panel uses compatible top and bottom frame profiles to support and secure the slats.
Yes. The 1″ slat is designed to work with Alumission fence posts and gate-frame profiles that receive standard Alumission slats.
Yes. Combining 1″, 2.5″, and 5.5″ Alumission slats creates mixed-width patterns and gives you more control over privacy and appearance.
Yes. Using only 1″ slats creates a consistent architectural pattern. Small gaps provide more privacy, while wider gaps produce a more open design.
Smaller gaps reduce visibility and create greater privacy. Wider gaps increase light, airflow, and visibility. A wider opening such as 4″ creates a noticeably more open, see-through panel.
The nominal cross-section is 1.000″ high by 0.803″ deep.
The wall thickness shown on the engineering drawing is 0.065″.
The profile is extruded from 6063-T6 aluminum, a common architectural alloy selected for clean extrusion geometry, finish quality, and outdoor durability.
The profile weighs approximately 0.262 pounds per linear foot. The total piece weight depends on the selected length.
Yes. Use suitable aluminum-cutting equipment with a fine-tooth blade, measure carefully, and deburr the cut edge before assembly.
No. Aluminum does not rust like steel.
No. It is an infill profile for Alumission fence, gate, and screen systems. It is not intended to serve as a building column, beam, guardrail structural member, or other load-bearing component.
The slat is positioned inside compatible Alumission post or frame channels and secured as required by the selected fence or gate design. Use consistent measurements or compatible spacers to maintain the planned gaps.
Choose the gap according to the desired privacy, visibility, airflow, and appearance. Small gaps create more privacy; larger gaps create a more open pattern. Confirm any project-specific code or safety requirements before installation.
The quantity depends on the finished panel size, slat orientation, chosen gap, and whether the layout includes 2.5″ or 5.5″ slats. Plan the full pattern before cutting or ordering.
No. This product includes one 1″ aluminum slat in the selected length and finish. Posts, frames, spacers, screws, covers, caps, and installation hardware are sold separately.
No. Compatible screws and other installation hardware are sold separately because the correct fastener depends on the post, frame, and project configuration.
Yes. A damaged slat can usually be replaced if the panel or frame can be opened without damaging the surrounding components. Match the replacement length and finish to the existing installation.
Yes, if that is part of the intended design. Select each required finish carefully and lay out the complete color pattern before assembly.
Available finishes are Black, Bronze, White, Dark Gray, Light Gray, and Wood. Finish availability depends on the selected length.
No. The Wood finish is available online only in the 6′ variation.
Yes. The aluminum receives a durable powder-coated finish designed for low-maintenance exterior use.
Yes. Mass-production powder coating is very accurate. For the most consistent finished appearance, compare all parts together before final assembly.
Clean it with mild soap and water using a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive pads, strong solvents, and harsh chemicals that may damage the finish.
A cut edge will not rust like steel. Touch-up coating is optional when you want the exposed edge to match the surrounding finish.
The online length options are 3′, 4′, 5′, 6′, and 8′.
Yes. The 10′ length is available by phone order with an Alumission representative. It cannot be purchased online, and shipping charges may apply.
No. The 10′ box is displayed so customers know the length is available, but it is intentionally disabled. Call Alumission to place the order.
Yes. Select an available online length and color to see the exact price for that specific variation.
No. The product selection is for one 1″ aluminum slat in the chosen length and finish. Enter the required quantity before adding it to the cart.
Shipping charges may apply to phone orders for 10′ material because long profiles require different handling and freight arrangements.
No. Cut, drilled, modified, damaged, or otherwise altered material is not eligible for return. Review the current Alumission return policy before ordering.
Yes. Aluminum is corrosion resistant, and the powder-coated finish provides additional exterior durability with minimal maintenance.
Yes. The aluminum profile is non-combustible. The performance of the complete fence or gate system also depends on adjoining materials and the installed assembly.
Aluminum does not rot and is not a food source for termites or other wood-damaging insects. Proper support and installation help the profile maintain its intended alignment.
Yes. It can be used in residential and commercial fence, gate, screen, and architectural infill projects when the complete design meets the project requirements.
