Balcony Railing System Planning – Las Vegas Style
Planning a balcony railing system? Compare the Las Vegas Style aluminum design and its mixed-width horizontal slats. Review the configuration, sightlines and mounting approach alongside the structural and safety requirements for your balcony.
- Finished railing height: designed for approximately 40–42 inches above the walking surface when installed and field-adjusted correctly
- Modular layout: planned in nominal 4-foot sections with posts typically laid out at 48-inch centers
- Mounting choices: Base Mount or Side Mount—choose according to the supporting structure and approved anchor plan
- Project-ready appearance: powder-coated aluminum components with concealed post channels, snap covers and matching caps
- Optional top rail: add the Aluminum Side Post profile as a continuous top cap where desired and permitted
Before ordering: confirm the total run, post locations, corners and ends, substrate, attachment method, finished height and local code requirements. Field cutting, structural blocking and site-specific anchors may be required.
Planning your balcony railing system
For an elevated balcony, the complete guard design and attachment to the building need project-specific review. Check required height, openings, loads, edge conditions, waterproofing and the supporting structure. Catalog dimensions are planning information; confirm the complete system’s suitability for your balcony before ordering.
