Gate-Mounted Profile
Fasten the stopper directly to the vertical Alumission Gate Frame on the gate itself.
The Aluminum Stopper For Gate Frame is the dedicated closing-stop profile for Alumission swing gates. It mounts directly to the vertical Aluminum Gate Frame on the gate itself and creates a straight receiving edge when the gate closes.
For a single swing gate, install the stopper only on the latch side. Do not install it on the hinge side. A hinge-side stopper can create a dangerous finger-pinch point as the gate closes.
For a double swing gate, this is the required stopper profile. It can be mounted on the center vertical frame of either the left or right gate leaf, depending on which leaf should provide the stop for the opposite leaf. It must remain on the meeting/latch edge, never the outer hinge edge.
Order or cut the stopper so its finished length matches the vertical gate frame. A full matching length creates a continuous closing surface and a clean powder-coated finish from the top to the bottom of the gate.
The profile is part of the moving gate leaf. It is not a wall, post, floor, or ground-mounted stop.
Fasten the stopper directly to the vertical Alumission Gate Frame on the gate itself.
Use it with compatible Alumission single or double swing gates, regardless of the selected slat style.
This product is intended for swing-gate closing conditions, not sliding-gate receiving or guide applications.
Use a stopper length equal to the finished vertical gate-frame length for a continuous closing edge.
The stopper belongs on the closing or meeting edge, away from the hinge-side pinch zone.
Install the stopper on the vertical gate frame at the latch side of a single swing gate.
Do not place the stopper on the hinge side, where a closing gate can trap fingers between moving parts.
Position the profile so the gate closes against the raised stop without interfering with the latch hardware.
Verify the final gap, latch engagement, gate travel, and safe hand clearances before use.
At the center of a double gate, the stopper gives one leaf a defined receiving edge for the opposite leaf.
Install the stopper on the center vertical Gate Frame where the two swing-gate leaves meet.
Mount it on either the left or right leaf, depending on the planned closing sequence and latch arrangement.
The stopper creates the contact edge that positions the opposite leaf when the double gate is closed.
Match the stopper to the vertical frame length for a clean and consistent center seam.
Included: One Aluminum Stopper For Gate Frame in the selected length and powder-coated finish.
Sold separately: Aluminum Gate Frame, Slide Side Cover For Gate Frame, slats, screws, hinges, latch or lock hardware, drop rods, caps, reinforcement, and other gate installation hardware.
Phone-order lengths: 10′ lengths are available by phone order only. They cannot be purchased online, and shipping charges may apply.
Profile dimensions and gate-frame installation detail for the dedicated latch-side and double-gate meeting stopper.
Installation note: Mount the stopper only to the gate frame at the latch or center meeting edge. Never install it on the hinge side. Verify gate travel, closing sequence, latch engagement, safe clearances, and complete assembly requirements before installation.
Answers about swing-gate compatibility, latch-side placement, hinge-side safety, double-gate use, frame attachment, stopper length, dimensions, ordering, and care.
It creates a defined closing surface on an Alumission swing gate. The stopper mounts directly to the vertical gate frame on the latch or center meeting side.
Yes. Install it on the vertical Gate Frame at the latch side of the single swing gate.
Yes. This is the required stopper profile for an Alumission double swing gate. It creates the center stop where the two gate leaves meet.
Yes, when the swing gate uses the compatible Alumission Aluminum Gate Frame. The selected slat style does not change the stopper location.
No. This stopper is intended for swing-gate closing and meeting conditions.
No. It attaches only to the gate itself, directly on the vertical Aluminum Gate Frame.
Install it only on the latch side, where the gate closes against the receiving condition.
No. Do not install it on the hinge side. The closing gate can create a dangerous finger-pinch point between the stopper and the surrounding frame or structure.
The hinge side has changing clearances as the gate moves. Adding a raised stopper there can create a place where fingers may be trapped during closing.
No. The stopper creates the closing surface. The compatible latch, lock, strike, drop rod, or other securing hardware is selected separately.
Yes. Verify the full opening and closing travel, latch engagement, stopper contact, ground clearance, and safe hand clearances before using the gate.
Install it on the center vertical Gate Frame where the two gate leaves meet.
Yes. It can be installed on the center edge of either the left or right leaf, depending on the planned closing sequence and latch arrangement.
No. Either side refers to choosing the left or right gate leaf at the center meeting edge. Never install the stopper on an outer hinge edge.
The stopper on one leaf creates a receiving edge that positions the opposite leaf when the two gates close together.
No. This is the dedicated Alumission stopper profile for double swing gates built with the compatible Gate Frame.
Yes. Decide which leaf closes first, where the latch or drop rod will be located, and which leaf should carry the stopper before drilling or fastening.
Its finished length should match the vertical gate-frame length.
Yes. Cut it with suitable aluminum-cutting equipment, measure carefully, and deburr the cut end before installation.
The profile is 1.750″ wide and 0.750″ high. The raised stop is 1.031″ wide and 0.245″ high, and the profile thickness shown is 0.070″.
The product includes one Aluminum Stopper For Gate Frame in the selected length and powder-coated finish.
No. The Gate Frame, side cover, slats, screws, hinges, latch or lock hardware, drop rods, caps, reinforcement, and other gate components are sold separately.
The online length options are 6′ and 8′.
Yes. The 10′ length is available by phone order only. It cannot be purchased online, and shipping charges may apply.
Available finishes are Black, Bronze, White, Dark Grey, and Light Gray.
No. Aluminum does not rust like steel.
Clean with mild soap and water using a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh chemicals, and strong solvents.
