Modern aluminum horizontal railing in San Clemente, CA. This unique design was made by the DIY customer and came out amazing. He used x2 5.5” aluminum slats in the bottom and x4 1” aluminum slats on top. Spacers is changing from 4”-2” between the horizontal slats. This installation was with the post bases and post base cover. Installed on concrete with concrete expansion bolts. This railing designed not to block the beautiful ocean view and still give a lot of security.
These aluminum slats are generally expected to last at least twenty years when properly installed and maintained. Aluminum does not warp, crack, or shrink, even when exposed to the elements outdoors.
