A side panel is a stationary fence panel, commonly installed next to a pedestrian or driveway gate. Coordinate the slat pattern with your gate or use it to finish a short fence run.
Every kit includes two two-channel aluminum posts, four matching snap covers, two matching post caps, the scheduled slats, assembly screws, and spacer packs where required by the style. See each product’s parts table for the exact quantities supplied at each height.
In-Ground
Set the extended posts in suitable concrete footings. Stock posts are 6′ long for nominal 4′ panels and 8′ long for nominal 5′ and 6′ panels. Cut or embed to suit the planned installation.
Post Base
Includes two steel post bases and two aluminum base covers. Anchor the bases to a suitable structural surface, sleeve the posts over the steel inserts and cut the posts to the required height. Seal the base contact and penetrations with silicone.
Concrete, site-specific anchors, sealant and tools are separate. A gate leaf, hinges and lock are not included. Coordinate any shared gate-bearing post with the gate’s support requirements.

Compare the two mounting methods and see the actual post, slat, base and cover dimensions. The drawing uses a 6′ Los Angeles panel as the assembly example. Each product gallery also includes its own proportional style layout.
Measure the full assembly: selected widths refer to slat-stock length. They are not the clear opening or outside-post width. Nominal kit heights depend on the slat stack, gaps, clearance, caps and mounting. Verify your opening and cut plan before installation.
Which style fits your project?
- Los Angeles: wide 5.5″ horizontal slats with 1/2″ spacing.
- Dallas: wide 5.5″ slats with a band of 1″ accent slats.
- Miami: a mixed-width pattern combining 5.5″ and 1″ slats.
- San Francisco: narrow 1″ slats with 1/2″ spacing.
- New York: closely stacked 5.5″ slats for maximum visual privacy.

A fixed side panel can fill a space beside a gate. Match the style and finish, and verify the opening. Gate hinge and latch posts need suitable reinforcement for the gate loads.
Yes. Verify the channel engagement and actual dimensions before cutting aluminum with suitable equipment. Cut or modified material is not returnable.
No. The selected width is the scheduled slat-stock length. The shop drawing shows how post width and slat engagement affect the clear and overall dimensions.
The displayed size-and-color price is the same for either method. Post Base includes two steel bases and two base covers.
No. Wood is a finish on aluminum. The panel’s slats and posts remain aluminum.
