Use this cap only on the bottom end of the Alumission Aluminum Post 3 Channel.
The Aluminum Flat Cap With Hole For 3 Channel Post is designed only for the bottom of the Alumission Aluminum Post 3 Channel. Its center opening allows the aluminum post to sleeve over a 1-1/4″ × 1-1/4″ steel tube.
Use this cap when reinforcing the post with a standalone steel tube or when installing the post on an Alumission base plate without a base cover. The flat plate closes the bottom of the post while leaving the steel-tube path open.
The cap measures 2-3/4″ × 2-3/4″, is made from 1/16″-thick 6061-T6 aluminum, and attaches to the post using #8 screws or aluminum rivets.
The center opening allows the Aluminum Post 3 Channel to slide over a 1-1/4″ square steel tube while the plate finishes the bottom of the post.
