About the Area
The city of Saratoga is located in Santa Clara County, California. In the San Francisco Bay Area, it is situated directly west of San Jose, on the western edge of the Santa Clara Valley. As of the 2020 census, the population was 31,051.
The vast majority of its homes and condos are medium to large sized (three to four bedrooms) single-family homes and townhouses. Most home owners live in their properties. The majority of the homes were built between 1940 and 1969. There were also homes built between 1970 and 1999.
Saratoga has long, hot, arid summers and short, cold and wet winters. Temperatures typically range from 43°F to 74°F throughout the year and are rarely below 35°F or above 84°F.
Local homeowners prefer aluminum fences, roofs, and gates over wooden ones that rot with time because of the area’s relatively humid climate. Aluminium offers exceptional stability, as it will not crack, warp, or shrink, in any weather condition.
