About the Area
Los Gatos, California, is an incorporated city in Santa Clara County. As of the 2020 census, the population was 33,529.
Most of its real estate consists of medium-sized (three to four bedrooms) to large (four to five bedrooms) single-family homes as well as small apartment buildings. The vast majority of residential properties are owned by their owners. The majority of the homes were built between 1940 and 1969, so they are older, well-established properties. There are also a few homes built between 1970 and 1999.
It is warm, arid, and mostly clear in Los Gatos during the summer, and cold, rainy, and partly cloudy during the winter. The temperature typically ranges from 41°F to 75°F throughout the year, rarely going below 34°F or exceeding 84°F.
In recent years, homeowners in the area have opted to install modern aluminum fences and gates instead of wooden fences that rot over time. The selection of aluminum can be explained by the fact that it is a very strong material that does not crack, shrink or warp, regardless of the weather.
